At this time of year we seem to receive so many greeting cards. While nice most seem to be impersonal, thoughtless and at times distant. Many of these greeting cards are so generic and end up with the rest of the other cards received but lost amongst all the other cards and messages. I can’t help but wonder at the at the waste of resources and missed opportunities. Lets be honest while it is the season of giving, greeting cards are more often than not sent for the purpose of marketing. 1. Personalization
we can come as a reflection of you and your company so it is best not to go with generic words and grenade generic greeting cards but rather to personalized making the entertaining, unique and noticeable. Be sure to include your company name and logo and make sure the message is relevant to your business relationship.
2. Envelopes
While envelopes can be ever so generic it takes little effort to make it stand out from many of the hundreds of greeting cards received. A brightly colored envelope will stand out against other letters being received. Use a stamp instead of a postal label and a handwritten address as opposed to label to make a difference to your greeting envelope.
3. Audience
While greeting cards could be sent out to all the people in your address book a more focused strategy would be to send greeting cards to business partners who are most important to your business this allows for greater degree of personalization. A handwritten message is always more appreciated.
4. Add value and Tracking
In the season of giving give your clients with business partners something to show your priest appreciation over the past year. Perhaps a discount on future purchase, free consultations, a QR code, link to special website resource or even a coupon on the back of the greeting card are options to consider. This will get your greeting card noticed and provide a return on investment; in addition you can track the success of this marketing campaign.
