Zoostores has put together an infographic that provides insights into the holiday shopping trends this year. The data was collated from Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Zoostores features around 500,000 products in its online store from over 2500 retailers. What is interesting is that spending is up and that as is the average basket size per order. The main categories that have done well this year are Kids and Babies, Home (namely furniture) and Fitness.
The infographic is a provides a snapshot of holiday shopping trends to leverage post Christmas sales. This does provide insights and opportunities to continue to leverage past the Christmas sales as people will be on the look out for deals and bargains. Also marketers will need to leverage channels that customers are using quite often which include social media and online reviews. It is of no surprise that mobile traffic to Zoostores was up by 50% this year and that mobile sales were up by 185%.
